This photo was probably taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The view is from the North West.
ReplyDeleteIt shows restaurant on the first floor with a large patio overlooking Digo Road. The restaurant was later converted to the Casbah night club.
The North West corner ground floor was occupied for years by Edwards St Rose pharmacy. You can see the main entrance on Digo road.
Across from the main door of the pharmacy is a street vendor
